GST Council cuts rates: TV, Washing machine, Refrigerator get cheaper whereas No Tax on Sanitary pads.

On Sturady GST Council ne major step lete huwe 88 items ko Ya to saste tax slab category me dala. Wahi ek major decision me Sanitary pads ko Tax se exemptrd kar diya jo ki ek bahat acha aur bada decision liya gaya hai.  Agar baki tax slab ki baat ki jaiye toh TV, washing machine, refrigerator, footwears ko bhi saste tax slab me kar diya gaya hai.

Highest tax bracket jo ki 28% tha usme se bahut sare item ko ab 18% me kar diya gaya hai waise hi 18% me se nikal kar 12% aur 12% me se 5% kar diya gaya hai. Aur wahi kuch jaruri items ko Tax se exempted kar diya gaya hai. Ye sare revised tax rates 27th july se activie ho jaiyege.

Items jise 28% se 18% GST tax slab me kiya gaya:
  • Washing Machine
  • Refrigerators, Freezers
  • TVs up to 68cm (Approx 27 inch)
  • Video games
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Mixer grinders
  • Watercooler
  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • Electric iron
  • Trailers and semi-trailers
  • Shavers & hair dryers
  • Storage water heaters
  • Paint
Items jise 18% se 12% GST tax slab me kiya gaya:
  • Wooden frames for painting, photographs, mirror etc
  • Ornamental framed mirrors
  • Handbags like pouches and purses and jewelry box
  • Art ware of cork
  • Stone art ware, stone inlay work
  • Glass statues, glass art ware
  • Art ware of iron, aluminum brass, copper/ copper alloys, electroplated with nickel/silver
  • Handcrafted lamps
  • Worked vegetable or mineral carving, articles thereof, articles of wax
  • Ganjifa card
  • Bamboo flooring
  • Hand operated rubber roller
  • Brass kerosene pressure stove

Items jise 12% se 5% GST tax slab me kiya gaya:
  • Ethanol oil for oil companies
  • Common-use foot wares up to Rs 1,000 in value;
  • Solid biofuel
  • Handloom dari.
  • Phosphoric acid (fertilizer grade only).
  • Hand-made braids and ornamental trimming in the piece.
Item Exempted from GST tax slab:
  • Sanitary napkins.
  • Rakhis without precious material like gold, silver etc
  • Marbles, stone, and wood deities.
  • Fortified milk.
  • The raw material used in brooms.
  • Saal leaves.
  • Coir pith compost.
